Ralphie is a beautifully behaved, loving and affectionate dog. He is consistently obedient, gentle and delightful at home. Ralphie has two diagnosed behavioural needs: separation anxiety and reactivity on walks. With training using the “look” command, treats before walks, his reactivity has improved greatly. He may still bark if another dog is very close or if someone appears suddenly, but he is usually calm with guidance and now rarely reacts to dogs barking from inside houses or dogs across the road. Ralphie is relaxed around dogs he knows and quietly coexists with them when visiting friends.

🐾 Forever home wanted for Tyga 🐾

Meet Tyga, a sweet 11-year-old red mini smooth dachshund currently in Melbourne who is looking for a calm, loving forever home.

Tyga is affectionate, loyal and happiest when he can be close to his people. He loves interactive play, enjoys relaxing in his crate, and has so much love left to give to the right person.

Tyga has some special needs following IVDD and spinal surgery. He can walk and run, though his back legs may drag when he gets excited, so soft surfaces and gentle management suit him best. He also experiences urinary incontinence, which is managed with routine toileting, occasional bladder expression and nappies when needed.

He would thrive in an adult-only home with someone patient, compassionate and experienced enough to respect his boundaries. Tyga is not suitable for a home with children, cats, or a busy household. He may be best as the only pet, although a very experienced owner could consider slow, careful introductions with another suitable dog.

Tyga’s needs require understanding, but they do not define him. At heart, he is a loving little dog who wants companionship, stability and a person to call his own.

About Franklin 🐾

Franklin is a handsome 5-year-old black and tan miniature dachshund who is looking for a very special forever home. He is toilet trained, lead trained, and sleeps inside where he can be close to his people.

Franklin is playful, child friendly, and happy with people, but he does need an experienced and understanding home. He has separation anxiety and cannot currently be left alone, so he will need someone who is home most of the time and willing to continue supporting him with patience, routine, and care.

He has lived with other dogs in the past, but since moving to a different household structure he has become reactive to other dogs and animals and is best suited to a calm home. Franklin is also food and toy possessive, so he is fed separately and will need a home that understands resource guarding and can manage this safely.
